Week 6 - A game mechanic that is underrated
A very underrated that most people forget that without it the game or any game using moment the ability to walk and run in games or having a boost system is very underrated in most games nowadays, everyone expects characters within the game know how to run, as much as people go well that’s normal everyone can run most people miss the value of good movement mechanics where players are free to explore the world or able to have multiple paths to an objective through players skill and the movement system, most of the strategies and tactics players can use rely souly on moment of the player. As an example Assassin Creed Games to me are all about the movement, yeah we have cool gadgets now to enhance it but most of the game is based around the ability of the character being able to climb buildings and do pare core without this easy flowing movement up and down buildings the game would of lost its feel of being able to freely climb whatever building you wanted to kill a target which would change the frequent tactics players would use if climbing buildings was challenging. This is a mechanic I think people take for granted when it makes or lessens the games flow and sometimes fun.
